Canadian cattle inventories in free-fall, 4.9% lower than 2009
The cattle industry in Canada remains in free- fall, with inventory numbers as of August 1 dropping sharply compared to year ago levels.  The total inventory was estimated to be 14,011 million head, 725,000 head or 4.9% lower than the previous year.
